CANCELLED Remakesploitation Fest 2020 Turkish Star Wars

A very rare screening of the restored Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam (1982), AKA Turkish Star Wars, to launch Remakesploitation Fest 2020.

Notorious for the ways in which director Çetin İnanç edited footage from Star Wars into his own film, along with music from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Flash Gordon, Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam is the holy grail of remakesploitation cinema. For many years, the film circulated only in low-resolution bootleg copies but in 2016 a 35mm print of the film was discovered and a digital scan has been made so that the world can finally see the film the way it was intended.

Screening as part of Remakesploitaiton Fest 2020, which takes place the following day.

Yönetmen Çetin İnanç'ın Yıldız Savaşları'ndan çekimlerini kendi filmine düzenleme yolları ile tanınan Kayıp Ark Akıncıları ve Flash Gordon'un müziği ile dünyayı Kurtaran Adam, yeniden uyarım sinemasının kutsal kasesi.

Uzun yıllar boyunca, film sadece düşük çözünürlüklü bootleg kopyalarında dağıtıldı, ancak 2016'da filmin 35 mm'lik bir baskısı keşfedildi ve dünyanın nihayet filmi istediği şekilde görebilmesi için dijital bir tarama yapıldı.
