Bubble Bubble: Fermentation and Feminism Workshop

Taste and explore the culture and rituals of preservation, in this hands-on creative workshop which fuses food, fermentation and feminism.

With special guests experienced in foraging, brewing and fermenting, we’ll discover some of the connections between food culture and feminism. Expect a playful smörgåsbord of tastings, readings, art/design and hands-on fermentation.

The workshop is suitable for beginners, or for those with experience with fermentation. Participants will take home their own lacto-fermented kraut creations. All materials provided.

Not only messy eaters, food/play/food believes finding fun ways to ‘play with food’, or our perceptions of it, is a great way to learn more about the complex nuances of what we eat, and its relation to culture, the environment and our global food system.
