AC Projects

Fri 7 April — Sun 9 April 2017

AC Projects presents the sixth edition of Counterflows – a celebration of underground music, featuring artists from around the world bound together by their questioning spirit and refusal of easy categorisation. Taking place in venues across Glasgow, with CCA as the festival hub, Counterflows believes that the underground belongs to a myriad of voices and is best engaged with when we come together, share ideas, break down borders, challenge hierarchies and push boundaries.

This year sees one of Counterflows’ most ambitious projects – a new multichannel sound and light installation which will be at CCA throughout the festival. Created and curated by Mark Fell, with works by Rian Treanor and Nakul Krishnamurthy, the project responds to the systems and processes of Carnatic music in South India.
