CANCELLED Glasgow Feminist Arts Festival F-Rated: Feminism and the Future in the Screen Industries

Fri 16 November 2018

CCA

We regret that this event has been cancelled.

A year since Tarana Burke’s #MeToo campaign went viral, join our roundtable of academics and practitioners in film and television as they reflect on a feminist movement that has transformed the way we think and talk about the creative industries. What has actually changed? How do we continue to mobilise as feminists in the screen industries and improve power imbalances? And when, if ever, will we be able to move on from #MeToo?

The panel features:
Amy Holdsworth (moderator, University of Glasgow)
Sabah Haider (filmmaker; Concordia University/EHESS)
Lisa Kelly (University of Glasgow)
Alanna Thain (director of the Institute of Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies, McGill University)

The event will provide a forum for attendees to ask questions and take part in discussions. There will also be opportunities for networking within the space, which is part of the Screen seminar series at the University of Glasgow.
