Can you avoid becoming a monster when you are raised by one? That is the question posed by More, the gripping debut feature from Onur Saylak, an adaptation of Hakan Günday’s award-winning novel. Gaza, a sharp 14-year-old boy, unwillingly partakes in his father’s refugee smuggling business, all the while dreaming of making his life elsewhere. As human suffering and immorality surround him, his struggle for innocence and liberation are frequently put to the test. A timely story of the unfortunate ones trapped inside a world of evil, with a powerhouse performance from Ahmat Mümtaz Taylan.
