Mount Florida Screenings & Plymouth Arts Centre Exchange

Thu 3 May 2018

Mount Florida Screenings is a bimonthly, artists moving image screening event in Glasgow, led by artists Morwenna Kearsley & Myles Painter. Mount Florida Screenings operates a peer-to-peer programming structure, whereby each artist in the most recent screening recommends an artist or work for the following screening. PAC Home is a membership network for artists, curators and writers, who live and work in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall. It is an initiative by Plymouth Arts Centre, aiming to support and foster a strong visual arts sector by developing and raising engagement in contemporary art, supporting production through critical review and connection to a professional and global network.

This screening is the first event in an exchange between Mount Florida Screenings and Plymouth Arts Centre which features the work of four artists which have been selected from Glasgow, from the Mount Florida Screenings alumnus and four artists from Plymouth, from PAC Home associates and selected by curator Lucy Rollins. In addition to the screenings, we hope to facilitate discussions, critical feedback and development of new work through the exchange, in the hope of setting up a long-lasting legacy of artistic work between the two locations.

Artists will be announced close to the screening date on our social media pages. Please find links at http://mountfloridascreenings.com/
