Analogue Film Scotland Out of Print (35mm) + Director Q&A

Analogue Film: Scotland out of Print

Julia Marchese's warm-hearted documentary offers an insightful look at 35mm film exhibition, the culture of repertory cinema today and the historic New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles (now owned by Quentin Tarantino). Shooting partially on 35mm herself and featuring interviews with some of the theatre's biggest supporters including John Landis, Edgar Wright, Joe Dante and Kevin Smith, among others, Julia Marchese crafts a passionate argument for the medium's preservation and a loving tribute not only to the New Beverly and its patrons but to cinephiles and revival houses the world over.

We are proud to be presenting the Scottish premiere of Out of Print on 35mm and welcoming Julia to introduce the film and do a Q&A as she tours the UK with her film and prepares a new documentary on the country's independent cinemas. This screening is part of Scalarama 2016.
