Broadcasting live from the studio at the CCA, Radiophrenia is a temporary FM art radio station - a two-week long exploration into current trends in sound and transmission arts. Radiophrenia aims to promote the medium of radio as an art form, encouraging experimental approaches to making radio that are not catered for by mainstream stations.
Bringing you the best in local and international radio art, the station will be broadcasting 7-days a week, 24-hours a day. The schedule will include live shows and pre-recorded features as well as a series of specially commissioned ‘live-to-air’ performances. The majority of the programme will be made up from work submitted through our open call and will include soundscapes, spoken word, documentary, drama, radio experiments, found sound, challenging and radical new programme ideas.
