Scottish Writers' Centre Island & Sea: Launch of SWC Chapbook

Tue 10 March 2020

100320 800 pvy4

Join the Scottish Writers’ Centre as we celebrate the first in our new chapbook series. This is a great opportunity to share an evening listening to some of the best examples of poetry and short-form prose from writers living in Scotland.

This chapbook is packed with beautiful writing from across the country celebrating our islands and coastal landscape and the people who live there. Among the excellent established and up-and-coming writers we feature, you will read work from Ayrshire-based poet Cara McKee whose work, uniquely, has been chosen to feature across all five chapbooks.

The Scottish Writers’ Centre Chapbook Series will see five published over the next three years, each covering a different aspect of Scottish culture and landscape. Following Island & Sea, we will have: Cities, Towns & Villages; Borders & Boundaries; Mountain & Glen and River, Loch & Burn. Look out for the submission dates for these.

Each chapbook is one of a very limited print run, so come along to enjoy readings and be among the very exclusive few to grab your copy and have it signed by the contributors before taking it home to treasure.
