2HB Submissions Open Call

Last year CCA re-launched 2HB as a twice-yearly publication dedicated to creative and experimental writing in contemporary art, edited by Ainslie Roddick and Francis McKee, with Louise Shelley as Editor-at-large.

Following the publication of 20 issues, Volume 21 of 2HB unveiled a new design and a move to a biannual format, allowing for a new biannual sister publication Small Black Reptile, which will specifically focus on critical writing.

2HB’s selection process focuses on creative writing or fiction with a critical awareness of issues. A journal for experimental art writing, 2HB facilitates a discursive space for writing in contemporary art practice and creates a platform for artists, writers and theorists to realise work that might not otherwise be published.

Texts of up to 2000 words are sought for the next issue. The next deadline for 2HB submission is Thursday 16 March 2017. Please send submissions, along with a CV, to ainslie@cca-glasgow.com
