ACE VIS!ON

ACE VIS!ON (he/they) is a spoken word poet, actor, and active rapper/musician who creates and releases their own music and pieces independently, as well as part of several local bands and collectives in and around Glasgow. As a queer identifying POC, they frequently collaborate with groups and organisations involved in social justice and activism, leading and participating in workshops dedicated to opening conversations around consent, mental health and healing through creativity, accountability and community care. They recently became a published playwright, having their first stage play performed at Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre as part of their Class Act 2023 programme.

XZO

Since the release of their first mixtape in 2021, XZO (they/them) has risen fast on the Scottish scene playing venues and events including King Tuts, St Lukes, Celtic Connections & Jupiter Rising. XZO has also made waves South of the border with Trans Producer collective “TRANS_FORMATIONS”, working with the likes of I.JORDAN and received workshops from TAAHLIAH and Ifeoluwa. They are a member of Glasgow collective Excuse My Beauty and recently founded the powerhouse duo TOP SURGERY.

Music Space is a bursary programme produced by Counterflows which launched in March 2022. It has been set up for young people (18–24) who are based in Glasgow, and who are interested in exploring sound and music.
