Acting Up's superb affordable drama workshops, for performance, creativity, and fun continue every Saturday with Clare Hemphill and her talented team. All classes have a £6 three-week trial. A new improvisation-based teenage class with an emphasis on comedy starts at 2.30pm. New members welcome.

Our 10.30am class starts with a small, action-packed half hour special needs class, designed to promote communication skills and imagination in a safe environment. This has proved particularly useful for young people.

Throughout the day there are also mainstream classes with two public performances every year, while we have a new teenage improvisation drama class at 2.30pm with an emphasis on comedy. An opportunity to devise work, make new friends and foster drama skills. No experience necessary.

Every Saturday workshop, there is a focus on movement, voice and improvisation. Each class does a public performance every year of a show featuring the young people's own ideas, scripted by Clare. Clare won the Mind Media award at BAFTA for best TV series (CRACKED) and is currently commissioned to write two feature films, coming soon!

Please email Clare at clare.hemphill@talktalk.net for more info and don't be afraid to give it a whirl!
