Write to Recovery: Working it Out

Working it Out is a workshop event open to people with a lived experience of mental ill-health during which we will work together to make a new publication, formed by conversations around how we can find our voices through creativity.

We ask each participant to bring along a book, a piece of writing, an object or an artwork that you would like to share. This can either be something you have made in a group or as an individual, or it can be something that has been important and inspirational to you.

These books, objects, pieces of writing and artworks will be used as a basis for small discussion groups to ask questions, explore ideas, and share experiences and stories with one another. Following these conversations we will work on individual or collaborative pieces of writing, drawing or collage which will then be reproduced and bound into books for each participant that can be taken home!

There will be time at the end of the to share with the larger group about the item you have brought for the workshop, writing or artwork you make, as well as what you have produced throughout the day.

Refreshments will be provided.
