Al Schneider: Inarticulate Sense and the Creaturely
Sat 10 September 2016

Al Schneider Workshop
This workshop will explore the relationships between language, communication and non-human noise.
During the workshop, participants will work as a group and in pairs to achieve an understanding of one another through the development of an original, "creaturely" vocabulary. We will combine theatre and improvisation games with our new vocabulary of sound, noise and gesture to depart from a reliance on meaning in communication. We will howl, roar, careen and scamper together as we investigate alternate routes to understanding while celebrating our own inarticulateness. The workshop will culminate in the collaborative creation of a noise-based story or poem.
