Alliance Francaise
Award-winning filmmaker Coline Serreau started her career by directing political documentaries. She now travels the world in search of those who respect the soil and to shed a new light on the multiple initiatives that will allow everyone to answer the key question: what can I do to save our planet?
Serreau’s 2010 documentary investigates three societies where agricultural practices are not perpetuating agricultural disorder but actually affecting positive change. We follow her on her three-year tour of Brazil, India, and Ukraine as she takes environmental warning to the next phase.
Serreau herself has the following opinion on her documentary: “Alarm-raising and catastrophic films have been made, and they served their purpose. Now the time has come to show that there are solutions, to give a voice to the farmers, philosophers and economists who are inventing and experimenting with new alternatives, and to explain why our society is mired in the current ecological, financial and political crises.”
