The Great White Silence is photographer Herbert Ponting's record of Captain Scott's expedition to the South Pole. After the tragic outcome Ponting devoted the rest of his life to ensuring the expedition’s heroism would not be forgotten. This newly restored version brings the alien beauty of the landscape dramatically to life, showing the world of the expedition in brilliant detail.
