Marking the opening day of Celtic Connections 2016, The Janice Forsyth Show features special guests and live performances from across the Festival.


Barbara Dickson and Siobhan Miller perform live as part of The Carrying Stream - the opening concert celebrating 50 years of Scotland’s Traditional Music and Song Association, Edinburgh quartet Bwani Junction celebrate the 30th anniversary of Paul Simon’s Graceland and novelist and poet James Robertson discusses his Celtic Connections commission re-imagining Joni Mitchell’s Hejira.


The BBC is delighted to be part of Celtic Connections again and, this year, will be returning to CCA on Sauchiehall Street, in the heart of the city.
