Beatrice Catanzaro The Space in Between

Drawing from two experiences – a long term project in Palestine between 2010-2015, and a current engagement in Bolzano, Italy addressing topics of migration and hegemonic hospitality – Beatrice Catanzaro will share some of her reflections on the position of the artist: from activator, to mediator, to coordinator and participant in collective participatory practices. An introspective look at the role of the artist gathered from first-hand experiences, this talk will be an open-ended inquiry into the notion that meeting the “other” sometimes implies meeting oneself.
