A transsexual film screening and workshop

Moving through entangled timelines, Soft Exit Wound is a tender, non-linear portrait of illness, fear, shame, and identity. Combining documentary footage with autofiction and elements of magical realism, this new film by Zeo Fawcett traces the fractured temporality of the medicalised trans body, where rumination, fatasising, and coping bleed together.

Developed through Zeo’s distinctive diaristic style — shaped by the raw, confessional language of online oversharing — the film refuses neat narratives of recovery or revelation. Instead, it sits with the rawness of being seen too much and not enough, within systems that obscure more than they reveal.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the artist and preceded by a writing workshop exclusively for transgender and nonbinary people, led by Zeo Fawcett and William Aghoghogbe — a researcher and experimental writer whose work on language, embodiment, and the ‘indolic corpus’ resonates with the film’s themes of identity, sensation, and dysphoria.
