Camcorder Guerrillas is a Glasgow community-based, voluntary collective of professional filmmakers, artists and activists, working together to make and showcase documentaries for those concerned with human rights, welfare and social justice initiatives.
Camcorder Guerrillas are running a training day at CCA as part of the Generation project, with the aim to equip asylum seekers to make their own short films and distribute them online.
The participants will learn how to plan, film, edit, upload films to YouTube, Vimeo etc and share them using social networks, using basic camcorders, mobile phones or still cameras and standard free edit software with existing computer software.
No special computer skills or previous filming experience is required. The training will be lead by Camcorder Guerrilla members with extended experience of grass roots video activism.
