Join us for a look into the art and architectural history of CCA...
Led by a former employee of the Third Eye Centre and a retired curator, these tours will give visitors a look into the arts and architectural history of CCA.
They will encompass the Alexander 'Greek' Thomson building that fronts onto Sauchiehall Street, home to the Third Eye Centre from 1975-1991, as well as the Georgian villa that became part of the CCA complex following its 2001 redevelopment by Page & Park Architects.
Areas of the buildings not normally open to the public will be included in the tours. As well as a focus on historic architecture, we'll delve into the details of some of the former inhabitants of the buildings from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century.
We'll gather in the CCA Courtyard at 2pm before travelling throughout the building.
