Mophradat’s Art Fellows program is an eight-week full-time or twelve-week part-time training program at a European art institutions for young Arab curators, arts managers, arts producers, and arts administrators. It is intended to help them develop their knowledge, skills, and professional networks.


The selected fellow will have been living in Glasgow (where the programme is running) for no less than a year and be from the Arab diaspora (migrants and refugees are welcome to apply). They will receive a stipend from Mophradat during the programme.


Fellows will help support CCA’s open source programme, public engagement and exhibitions programme, working with CCA’s director, Curator, Public Engagement Curator and Programme Coordinator.


Details:
-Twelve-week part-time training program for art professionals of Arab origin living in Glasgow.
-21 hours per week
-240 Euros/ week paid by Mophradat (approx £210)
-Start date: 15 January 2018


Requirements:
-Applicants must have at least three years of experience in a field of contemporary arts
-Applicants must speak English and have basic computer skills
-Applicants must have been living in the city of the program for at least one year
-Applicants must be from the Arab world or be of recent Arab origin
-Applicants must be available to commit themselves fully to the program, which will begin on January 15, 2018.
-Holding a degree in an arts discipline or related cultural field is preferred
-Undergraduate students are not eligible to apply


Process:
Applications must be submitted in English, include the following material, and be sent by email to Michael-Alan Read mar@cca-glasgow.com no later than 29 November, 2017:
-CV/resume: Please list all educational and professional background, and include your name, home address, phone number, email, date and place of birth, and your citizenship.
-Cover letter: In 500 words or less, please describe your past experience of working in the arts, and explain what skills and knowledge you expect to develop during this training period.


Interviews will take place on 4 December 2017


All applicants, whether selected or not, will receive a response to their applications. Selected applicants will be informed by 8 December, 2017.
