Ceòl ’s Craic

Sat 25 May 2013

6348b904 9cde 4b41 b07d bac70f621545 Craic

Ceòl ’s Craic, in partnership with An Lòchran, host a special collaboration between celebrated Gaelic actress, presenter and multi-award-winning singer Kathleen MacInnes - whose latest album Cille Brìghde won Album of the Year at the Trad Music Awards in 2012 - and singer-songwriter/guitarist Rab Noakes, a living legend with a 40 year back-catalogue and recipient of rave reviews for his performances at Celtic Connections. Weaving musical threads throughout the evening, and reflecting on how dark themes such as jealousy have been chillingly represented in Gaelic and Scots song tradition, Kathleen and Rab’s performance will provide delight both as individuals and as a duo.

The evening will also showcase new talent, with additional performances from up-and-coming Gaelic singer and clàrsach player Misha MacPherson, and from Mòd Gold Medalist winner Alasdair Whyte, who recently released his debut album.
