Ceòl 's Craic is a vibrant social hub and platform for contemporary Gaelic culture in Glasgow. In the run up to their Americana event on Sat 14 September, Ceòl 's Craic will host a bilingual illustrated talk and discussion group, for learners and fluent speakers of all ages.
Awopbopaloobop looks at the fantastic Rock 'n' Roll tours that came to Glasgow between 1957 and 1964. Music and dancing, fashion and hairstyles, long-gone venues. Who got arrested for jiving in Renfield St? Which singer sorted out the Empire audience? Who always carried a gun? Why was Cliff staying in Wilton St? All this and more - be there or be square - blue suede shoes optional!
