Cinemaattic presents… Luna Grande: Un tango por García Lorca. Documentary about the journey of Spanish giant Lorca to Argentina and Uruguay. Shared sounds and poems in the golden age of tango.
In 1933, Federico García Lorca undertakes his second American adventure, after the trip to New York of 1929 (Moons of New York). Argentina and Uruguay are waiting to crown him as one of the best playwrights of all time. There he lives the golden age of tango, meets Carlos Gardel and Jorge Luis Borges, and forges an unshakable friendship with the future Nobel Prize winner Pablo Neruda.
'Luna Grande, A tango by García Lorca' gathers the powerful influence of the great Granada author in Buenos Aires and Montevideo with the help of experts, anonymous personages and recognized names of the culture like Lluís Pasqual, Juan Echanove, Verónica Forqué, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Paula Ortiz, Asier Etxeandia, Santiago Roncagliolo and Antonio de la Torre. This is the story of how Federico García Lorca conquered "an immense people for his theater".
