Cooking Pot The Glasgow Diet
Sun 24 November 2019
The Glasgow Diet
Zev Robinson’s sixth documentary on food in Scotland, The Glasgow Diet is about the evolution of food in the city over the last fifty years.
Interviews with about six people provide personal stories and the social history that covers the transition from industrial to post industrial eras to its present revival. Included are Greencity Wholefoods and Locavore who have played important roles in bringing about a more positive food system in the city.
Please note that the Saramago Cafe Bar will offer ticket-buyers a 15% discount on their dinner menu, before and following the screening. Their menu is a modern vegan take on Glaswegian food.
The event is produced in collaboration with Slow Food Glasgow.
Part of Cooking Pot: a CCA-led project building a community of people who are passionate about food – making, sharing, eating and enjoying.
