Creative Carbon Scotland Powering the Green Arts Workshop

Wed 12 June 2019

Creative carbon

Creative Carbon Scotland has been working with the Scottish cultural sector since 2011 to reduce the environmental impact of the arts and explore the ways our culture can help bring about the transformational change needed by our climate-changed society. This includes how we work, who we work with, and what we do as a sector. Often one of the biggest ways we can make a difference is through choosing more sustainable supply chains, and using our purchasing power to create, highlight and encourage more sustainable choices in others.

This workshop will focus on why and how renewable energy is transforming our sector and our society. The workshop aims to empower individuals and organisations in the Scottish cultural sector to make informed decisions about their energy use and supply and how they can be part of a sustainable solution to climate change.

It is suitable for any Green Champions or would-be Green Champions working within cultural organisations of any art form. It is particularly relevant for those managing buildings, facilities and cultural spaces. We will tailor the workshop based on the areas of interest among our members and attendees, and what will be most useful and effective in helping them to be part of a greener cultural sector for Scotland.
