Richard Whitby Performance

Thu 26 March 2015

Richard Whitby

A New Performance by Richard Whitby and Siôn Parkinson.

The set built for DW Griffith's 1916 film Intolerance has spawned a further feature film, Kenneth Anger's book Hollywood Babylon, and a shopping mall in Los Angeles. Now, in the manner of 'cosplay', it has provided the inspiration for a costume for Siôn Parkinson to wear whilst he performs a musical melodrama based upon Griffith's mythic failure, with set and visuals, written by the two artists.

Richard Whitby is an artist and writer living in London; Siôn Parkinson is an artist and singer living on the Isle of Mull. Visit richardwhitby.net and sionparkinson.tumblr.com/ for more.
