Creeping Bent Organisation & Glasgow Jazz Festival Club Left: Vic Godard & Jazzateers

Vic Godard and the Jazzateers
Glasgow Jazz Festival, in association with The Creeping Bent Organisation, present Club Left with Vic Godard & The Subway Sect, with special guests Jazzateers.
Vic Godard & The Subway Sect
Vic Godard has forged his own unique trajectory since emerging from the 100 Club punk scene of 1976 where Subway Sect debuted alongside contemporaries The Clash and Sex Pistols. Godard’s melodic songs imbued by the Sect’s jagged sound set them apart from the usual run of the mill punk acts that joined the conveyor belt that year. By the time the debut album ‘What’s The Matter Boy?’ was released (MCA 1980) Godard had introduced a more pop based sound to his music.
Jazzateers
Jazzateers make a rare live appearance in lieu of a Creeping Bent deluxe vinyl edition of their previously unreleased material recorded for Postcard Records (Don't Let Your Son Grow Up To Be A Cowboy). Jazzateers will be performing songs from both their Postcard and Rough Trade period.
