The Dwelling Place: Digital Distortions of Time and Space

Brothers Jamie and Lewis Wardrop invite you to explore The Dwelling Place, an abandoned and dilapidated cottage discovered on the Outer Hebrides.

Enter a multimedia installation and watch as the fifty-year history of a long-forgotten family home is brought to life with original footage, live music, spoken word and video projection.

From historic maps and paintings to nostalgic television sets and 1970s wall art, The Dwelling Place fuses the old with the new in a journey examining the transition of a once isolated island community towards a more modern and connected way of life.

“Wardrop’s live video projections are both beautiful in themselves… and provide a brilliant sense of atmosphere.” The Telegraph

Join the artists following the 8.45pm performance on Thu 4 June for a post show discussion.

Cryptic Nights: crossing creative boundaries with live music, visual and sonic art, film and new media.

Pre-book a table at Saramago and enjoy four delicious tapas for £10 prior to the performance.
