Dardishi Festival Community Shorts
Sat 22 February 2020
A shorts programme of films by Arab and North African womxn on the theme of community.
These shorts tie in with a letter writing session run by Refuweegee on the next day. As part of their mission to provide a warm welcome to forcibly displaced people arriving in Glasgow, Refuweegee collects donations and handwritten letters to include in welcome packs that they give to newcomers arriving in Glasgow through the asylum system.
Supported by Film Hub Scotland, part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network, and funded by Screen Scotland and Lottery funding from the BFI.
All areas of the venue are accessible to those with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. Large print versions of our printed programme will be available throughout the Festival. You can read Dardishi's access information, or view the CCA Accessibility Guide. If you require a BSL interpreter, please make a request by emailing email@example.com with a minimum of 48 hours notice. You can contact CCA via Contact Scotland BSL – Scotland’s British Sign Language Interpreting Video Relay Service.
Dardishi Festival is utilising a sliding scale ticketing system, so that everyone, regardless of their economic circumstances, can attend. If you are unsure how much you should be paying, have a look at our guidance document.
