Dardishi Festival Creative Writing Workshop with Linda Mohamed
Sun 23 February 2020
This workshop will be a chance to explore dystopian fiction as a way of processing forms of oppression that people experience in their daily lives.
Participants will have a chance to come up with ideas for their own dystopian novel and pitch them to the rest of the group. Pitches will be followed by individual or group writing time, with opportunities to exchange feedback and learn more about this powerful genre of writing.
Your workshop host will be Italian-Palestinian freelance writer, and previous co-creator and co-host of the FemGaia Club Podcast, Linda Mohamed.
All areas of the venue are accessible to those with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. Large print versions of our printed programme will be available throughout the Festival. You can read Dardishi's access information, or view the CCA Accessibility Guide. If you require a BSL interpreter, please make a request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with a minimum of 48 hours notice. You can contact CCA via Contact Scotland BSL – Scotland’s British Sign Language Interpreting Video Relay Service.
Dardishi Festival is utilising a sliding scale ticketing system, so that everyone, regardless of their economic circumstances, can attend. If you are unsure how much you should be paying, have a look at our guidance document.
