DEATHANDDADA presents Films, Live Comix, Music and No Theoretician, with:

Always Jaded/Constantly Jaded, Grimalkin555, Joey Huertas aka Jane Public, Kerstin Cmelka, Malcy Duff and Paul Nobel.

This event will include video works by both Kerstin Cmelka and Joey Huertas aka Jane Public. These artists work with film and video in an incredibly idiosyncratic and personal way. Berlin based, Cmelka enacts absurd micro dramas appropriating content from sources such as Ibsen and Fassbinder to celebrity interviews with Nina Hagen and Steven Spielberg. Bronx film-maker and social worker Huertas, creates 'docufessional' films derived from surveillance video and real life trauma.

Malcy Duff is one half of Edinburgh's favourite acoustic conceptual noise comedy duo, Usurper. He is also a master of pen and ink. Sometimes he combines all of his talents in the form of live comix readings.

Always Jaded/Constantly Jaded are Ash Reid and Sweet Baby Jackson. They combine electronic baked Alaska with YouTube time blasts. It is music and it is a conversation and it playfully asks questions to stimulate the medulla oblongata!

Grimalkin555 is a woman on a mission. She uses amplifiers to destabilize the inner ear and video projection to open the door to night horrors.

Scattered throughout the evening will be projected images of some of the myriad absurd book covers Paul Noble has made as an ongoing project for many years.

And finally we will provide free toasted cheese sandwiches made in our brand spankin' new toasted sandwich maker. Vegan possibilities too!
