This film focuses on how black women were caught between the racism of the feminist movement and sexism in the black power movement, and on how they mobilised together in response to this marginalisation. 1960/70’s archival footage from the US are merged with contemporary interviews with women of colour activists from civil rights organisations (including the Student Nonviolent Co-ordinating Committee, the Black Panther party and the Third World Women’s Alliance), creating a touching and informative documentary.
