It’s another hot day in Mumbai and like every day the fans are whirling in the Alfred Talkies – a B-Movie cinema. Behind the screen, as the drama plays out, Sheikh Rehman and his crew are creating original copies. Operating in the workshop manner of old masters, they hand-paint huge publicity banners in oils for Bollywood films …only to paint over them 7 days later. An ode to the passions of cinema, art and life in a declining industry.
