DJ Sets: Lebanese Focus

Fri 24 March 2023

Close-up of DJs hands on deck during a #GSFF22 event

GSFF

Following the live performance by Khansa, join us in CCA's courtyard where we'll be dancing till 2am. Including a set by Hiba, a Lebanese DJ and selector based in Glasgow who uses club spaces to shed a spotlight on SWANA artistry as a celebration of Arabic culture and heritage.

Following the performance, join us in Nice N Sleazy where we'll be dancing till 2am to DJ sets by Hiba and How Bizarre. Hiba is a Lebanese DJ and selector based in Glasgow who uses club spaces to shed a spotlight on SWANA artistry as a celebration of Arabic culture and heritage. How Bizarre is a Glasgow-based rug emporium ran by Jess, a Scottish lass with Persian roots. Her shows on Radio Buena Vida reflect her heritage with Arabian shoulder shakers from across the Middle East. Free entry.

GSFF23's Lebanese Focus is generously supported by British Council.

Venue

The performance by Khansa will take place in CCA Theatre as planned, but the afterparty, which was due to take place in CCA’s Courtyard, has been moved to Nice N Sleazy. DJs Hiba and How Bizarre will be sharing their line-up with Rosehips. We thank everyone involved for their generosity and accommodations to make this happen.
