Dove Tales, Association of Scottish Artists for Peace

Dove Tales’ event on 31st May will be about Afghanistan, a crisis that has been pushed aside because of the situation in Ukraine. Drought and continuing civil war have contributed but Western aid accounts for 70 percent of the government’s expenditure and that has been cut off because of sanctions on Taliban leaders. As a result more than eight million people are on the brink of famine. We explore the situation and the West’s responsibilities through poetry and prose.
