Celebrate 3 Years of Cuban-Scottish Feminist Filmmaking

Join us for a special screening marking three years of powerful collaboration between women filmmakers in Cuba and Scotland. This curated program showcases the vibrant and vital stories born from this unique artistic exchange.

The lineup features:

  • Sáttvica: The award-winning film from our climate-focused competition in Cuba.
  • An uplifting short about Period Dignity activism in Cuba.
  • ‘Dientes de Flores’ by Ivette Avila: A stunning animated short exploring the theme of domestic violence.
  • Two collaborative films crafted across Matanzas, Havana, Miami, and Glasgow: ‘No News from Home’ (pictured) and ‘Drum Has Only One Language.’
  • Peace of Heart by Ana Songel (Glasgow)
  • The Jubilee by Wilma Smith (Glasgow)

This event is more than a screening—it’s an invitation. Connect with fellow activists and filmmakers, and discover how you can get involved in our international filmmaking projects right here in Glasgow, with equipment provided.

Content Advisory: This program contains depictions of domestic violence.
