Want to learn to grow from seed-to-seed? Join a small and social garden team to help us prepare, sow, grow and harvest.

Meeting on site at Lambhill Stables Community Garden, come and get involved in outdoor gardening work. Tasks include building raised beds, fixing netting, building plant supports, sowing, weeding, composting, natural pest control and monitoring the progress of our plants.

Over the course of a year, we will learn together how to successfully grow, nurture and nourish crops for organic seed production. The harvested seeds will be dried, sorted and packed for Glasgow Seed Library, for the community to grow in 2023.

Field Days are perfect for anyone who is keen to get outdoors, hands-on and learn-by-doing. No prior experience is necessary. If you have them, please bring gardening gloves and outdoor boots, and wear warm, waterproof layers.

Field Days are part of Seed to Seed, a year-long project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund: Together For Our Planet.

In May, we expect to sow late seeds, plant out seedlings, clean the polytunnel and do some weeding. Meet us at the garden shed: you do not need to stay all day, drop-in and leave when you like.
