Franco-German Film Series Soul Kitchen

The Goethe Institute and the Alliance Française are delighted to present this year’s Franco-German film series, which focuses on different facets of comedy from both countries.

Fatih Akin, the director of “Head-On” and “The Edge of Heaven”, presents this boisterous comedy. A German-Greek restaurateur is forced to defend his bistro, Soul Kitchen, against property sharks, tax authorities and his gambling-addicted brother when it becomes one of Hamburg’s trendy locations.
