‘One man’s leg is another man’s treasure’: an interesting tagline for a documentary that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that life is weirder than fiction. Shannon Whisnant loved nothing better than a bargain, until he bought the contents of a storage locker in an auction and discovered a grill containing a severed human leg. Following a media storm, Whisnant began charging the public to see the limb, until he met a man called John Wood… who wanted his leg back. It may sound like the stuff of Jerry Springer showdowns, but what transpires is a very human, compelling documentary.
