Hyena Road
Due South favourite Paul Gross has built a successful second career as the director of sweeping, epic movies exploring the folly of conflict. In Hyena Road, he focuses on Canada’s involvement in Afghanistan, capturing the chaos and complexity of modern warfare. Gross stars as Pete Mitchell, a world-weary intelligence officer who tries to remain true to his principles as he searches for The Ghost (Neamat Arghandabi), a legendary Afghan leader who could be the key to winning the trust of the local population and defeating the Taliban. A war movie that balances emotion and action with a potent sense of the bonds forged in the heat of battle.
