GFF: Rattle the Cage (Zinzana)

Set entirely within a prison cell, Rattle The Cage has all the intensity of a claustrophobic theatre production. It is 1987: reformed alcoholic Talal (Saleh Bakri) wakes behind bars somewhere in Arabia. He is allowed to make a single phone call to his estranged wife. A local sheriff asks him if he enjoys assaulting strangers. As he struggles to figure out what is happening, everything changes with the arrival of ‘Deputy Dbaan’ (Ali Suliman). The stage is set for a deadly cat-and-mouse game where Talal holds the lives of fellow prisoners in his hands and the wrath of Dbann shows no limits.
