Say-so
Say-so is a programme of artists’ film and video works selected by artist filmmaker Lyndsay Mann, and commissioned by MAP guest editors Suzanne van der Lingen and Claire Walsh as part of a series of new commissions exploring voices within archives. Say-so is a sequential conversation between artists’ moving image, with interjections from the Sound Archive at the School of Scottish Studies, relating to Mann’s research on voice, authority, and inconstancy. Commissioned by MAP as part of the editorial residency Footnoting the Archive, with works by Ursula Mayer, Lyndsay Mann, Saskia Olde Wolbers, Steve Connolly, Jem Cohen, and Mona Hatoum.
