GFF: Stretch and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives

DJ Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia are the undisputed kings of hip-hop radio. The film charts their history from their humble beginnings on New York’s WKCR college radio in 1990. ‘The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show’ would go on to showcase demo tapes and freestyles from hundreds of unsigned artists, many of whom evolved into the grandmasters of hip-hop. Featuring unreleased recordings and interviews from Jay Z, Nas, Eminem, Biggie and members of the Wu-Tang Clan (to mention a few), this is 90 minutes of furious rap history with serious heart and soul.
