GFF: The White Knights (Les chevaliers blancs)

The callous abuse of Western aid to war-torn countries lies at the heart of a drama made all the more distressing by the realisation that it is based on true events. Jacques Arnault (Vincent Lindon) heads ‘Move For Kids’, a humanitarian organisation devoted to feeding, educating and nurturing orphans from war-torn sub-Saharan Africa. He arrives in one country with a group of volunteers and a mission to vaccinate 300 children in 30 days. It gradually becomes clear that the organisation’s noble intentions mask a far more sinister agenda, but the local population have already taken their offer of help at face value.
