Seven years may have passed but Ulrich Köhler returns to the director’s chair with a wonderfully imagined survivalist drama about one man’s quest to cope with the frightening reality that comes with complete freedom. Armin’s (Hans Löw) nightclubbing, free-spirited lifestyle is beginning to wear thin when one day he awakens to find that the rest of humanity has disappeared. Now with the whole world as his playground, Armin quickly realises that in order to survive, he must change a lifetime of self-destructive habits and cultivate a self- sufficient lifestyle before it is too late.
