What does community mean in the 21st Century?
Policy makers in Scotland, the UK and beyond have increasing expectations of the community to participate in the provision of care and local services. However, at a point in history where individuals are increasingly global through access to online networks and growing migration, what, who and where are the communities of the present? Moreover, can they and should they be charged with the delivery of public policy?
