Colour Blind Casting
The lack of ethnic minorities represented on screen has been a hotly debated topic over the years and an issue the industry needs to address. Join some of the UK’s most established casting directors, including Debbie McWilliams (Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool, Skyfall and Quantum of Solace) and Elaine Grainger (The Wife, The Dark Knight and Inception), as they discuss what it means in practice not to consider an actor’s race when casting a role, and how this has changed the dynamic of the casting room. This event will be BSL-interpreted.
