A jolt of reality is thrust upon two teenage siblings in this powerful coming-of-age story based on shocking true events. When 15-year-old Remco films his sister throwing living puppies into a river, he didn’t anticipate the disastrous consequences of posting the video online. When the video goes viral, it sparks a global online witch-hunt. Director Ben Brand’s chilling debut feature confronts responsibility and accountability in an Internet age, deftly exploring the topics of empathy, reproach, and the individual versus the crowd.
